Food Revolution Day!

I can wait no longer to share my excitement about Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution Day; an international day to take a stand for REAL FOOD!

Food Revolution Day…is a chance for people who love food to come together to share information, talents and resources; to pass on their knowledge and highlight the world’s food issues…We want to inspire change in people’s food habits and to promote the mission for better food and education for everyone. (excerpt from website).

It is beyond a shadow of a doubt something in which I want to be involved; so, when my friend and the editor-in-chief over at Cathartic Cuisine contacted me about teaming up with him, Rawfully Wonderful and The Ironstone Nest to take part in the Food Revolution Day, I jumped at the chance!

We are hosting a dinner on the evening of Friday, May 18th (a day early) in effort to join together, invite friends, share our passion for healthful food and living, and further this revolution!

In the days leading up to our Food Revolution Dinner, I will be sharing a bit more about my family’s personal Real Food Journey: how it started and how far we’ve come! But I absolutely had to throw this out there before then in order to further this revolution, get more people involved, share resources and open the floor for any additional interest and/or questions.

I urge you to check out Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution website. It offers tons of information and resources about why we need a food revolution and how to get involved (be sure to sign the Real Food Petition)! There is also a food revolution Pinterest board with great recipes, food blogs, statistics, food news, etc.

I am reveling in the process of preparation and counting down the days until our dinner! CAN. NOT. WAIT.
