“Little Pumpkins” Party – Recipes!

So, I tried to think back to where on blogdom I found my recipes because I wanted to give credit where credit is due. I backtracked and indeed found the site (which I now follow)…Our Best Bites! These ladies are incredible; there are awesome ideas and I can’t wait to try more for upcoming events.

As for the Candy Corn Cupcakes, I definitely did the laymans version, so you have to head over to Our Best Bites and check out their instructions for the real deal.

(my version)

The Toffee Caramel Dip was my greatest success! Super simple and ridiculously delicious. I will absolutely be using this recipe in the future. Plus, the addition of cinnamon and nutmeg really make it wonderful for these cooler WI months; it just tastes like the season. I found the recipe here

Caramel Toffee Fruit Dip
1 8-oz. package cream cheese

3/4 c. brown sugar

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Toffee bits

1 tsp. cinnamon

1/8 tsp. nutmeg

Fruit (Granny Smiths were amazing) or cinnamon/sugar pis

Combine all ingredients (except toffee bits). Stir toffee bits in gently before serving!

Caramel Apple Cider Station

The only other recipe I thought needed mentioning is the Apple Cider. There are COUNTLESS variations of this drink and each is just a touch different. We were going to have a fair amount of people and as Apple Cider can get fairly expensive (not to mention, for whatever reason it was no where to be found), I opted to use two cans of frozen Apple Juice and then doctored it up to make it taste warm and rich like cider.

Caramel Apple Cider

2 cans Frozen Apple Juice

2 oranges

20 cloves

1 t. ground allspice

4 cinnamon sticks

On stovetop in a large pot, make apple juice according to the directions. Add the juice of one orange, allspice and cinnamon sticks. Poke whole cloves into additional orange and place in pot. Heat (I left it on the stovetop heated on low/medium throughout the party). Serve with laddle and top with whipped cream and caramel.

Enjoy!
